Additional local sports draws include the North Carolina FC, the Carolina Mudcats single-A baseball team and a women’s pro soccer team dubbed the North Carolina Courage.

Raleigh has much more going for it than just sports. These sites include a whopping 8,100 acres of parkland, nearly 80 miles worth of greenway, a bike race track, five public lakes, and more than 100 tennis courts. Raleigh residents are especially proud of the local J.C. Raulston Arboretum in the western part of the city.
